Essential Requirements:
· Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
· Experience in leading software teams
· Strong demonstrable knowledge of the software development process for safety-related products.
· Demonstrable experience of introducing new tools, processes and procedures in a large organization.
· Demonstrable experience of implementing successful Configuration Management, Requirements Management, Requirements Analysis, Design and Test Tools.
· Excellent communication skills
· Expert knowledge of product development lifecycles.
Desirable Requirements:
· Rail domain experience
· Knowledge of advanced signalling and train control technology
· Knowledge of agile techniques for software development
· Programme Management Qualification
· Black Belt Lean Practitioner
Ability to define implementation strategy for products including BIT, Communication protocol and fault tolerance
· Membership of a relevant professional body
