This design consultancy, part of a larger international group, employs around 260 staff, 160 of whom are based in York. The smaller offices are growing considerably and also developing new business for the company.
At present rail projects and associated infrastructure encompasses the greatest part of their workload. As the teams across the country expand and additional expertise is brought into the company their range of work will expand.
A Rail Infrastructure Design Engineer is required to join the team in York. Your role will involve the design of infrastructure for rail projects predominantly. Depending on your level of experience there may also be opportunities for providing technical guidance to less experienced members of the team, and some aspects of project management responsibility.
To apply for the position of Rail Infrastructure Design Engineer you must have a good civil engineering degree (minimum 2:2). You will have previously worked in a civil engineering design office within an infrastructure design team and will be familiar with associated software design packages. You must have previous experience of working on rail infrastructure schemes. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
