Our Client, a major rail infrastructure business, is looking for a Project Planner to join its Operations Department.
The Project Planner will manage the preparation of integrated and co-ordinated project programmes, enabling resource and material requirements to be forward planned to meet project deliver ables. You will develop comprehensive, logic linked, project programmes for UK infrastructure projects incorporating resource and skills planning, materials planning, cost estimating, earned value forecasting and reporting. To identify critical paths and ensure action plans are developed and implemented to maximise project quality, cost and delivery efficiency. The primary package used will be Primavera P3e or P3.
In order to successfully apply for the Project Planner role, you will require previous experience in a rail project planning / scheduling role, and a comprehensive knowledge of the railway industry (in particular rail signalling projects particularly Network Rail GRIP 3, 4 and 5-8). It is crucial that the Project Planner has excellent knowledge of Primavera P3e / P3 & a working knowledge of MS project and other MS packages.
The role demands problem solving and resolution skills and techniques, communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence others. It is crucial that you are action orientated and pragmatic, as well as proactive in identification of risks.
