Our client, a large blue Chip Rail Infrastructure Company have an urgent requirement for an experienced Rail Infrastructure Business Development Manager to join their team.

The role of Business Development Manager is responsible for the identification, development and acquisition of new business within Rail Electrification.

REQUIREMENTS:

Work closely with the Head of Marketing & Sales and General Manager(s) to develop, agree, and implement business segment marketing plans and business development targets.

Act in the capacity as Account Manager, undertaking: customer account analysis and transparency; leadership/people management; strategic account development; relationship management; contribution to Siemens market strategy; and opportunity management.

Identify and evaluate opportunities for new business, present these to the business segment(s) and seek appropriate authorisations.

Liaise with technical colleagues and jointly implement product lifecycle management.

Maintain data on competitors and key stakeholders and apply this at appropriate stages in the business development process.

Undertake regular forecasting and reporting of business segment metrics, and continuously document strategic and operational planning and activities (using CRM and other business tools).

REQUIREMENTS:
:
An in-depth knowledge of the Rail Infrastrcuture market as well as a broad knowledge of marketing, sales, and project implementation practice.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate successful business development in the rail sector in the UK, particularly with Network Rail and preferably with London Underground.

Candidates will also be expected to have strong longstanding relationships with key decision-makers in the rail sector.
