Our client is a leading developer and systems integrator for highly complex, large scale safety critical software and electronic systems.
Due to significant, long term, business growth we are currently seeking a number of Safety Assurance Engineers to join their expanding team.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- To lead various safety engineering activities (FMECA, PHA, Hazard Log, IHA, RAM)
- Assist in the planning, co-ordination of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and System Safety (RAMS) activities required by Company standards, the customer and legislative bodies at all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Undertake System Assurance assessments (Safety Case) of current designs.
- Provide System Assurance strategies for bids supporting of existing contracts.
- Attend project meetings with respect to RAMS issues.
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:
HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related
Experience of high quality document deliverables to short-timescales. Producing some or all of the following: FTA, FFA, Common Cause Failure Analysis, FMECA, Reliability Prediction, Maintainability Task Analysis, Reliability & Maintainability Demonstration Programmes, Testability Analyses, System Hazard Analyses
An ability to communicate at all levels
Good understanding of current Safety Standards
