My client is now looking for an experienced Support Engineer to be based at the New Cross Gate Depot. The Support Engineer is responsible for resolving technical issues affecting the reliability, availability, maintainability and safety performance associated with the Class 378 Electrostar Trains. Also providing technical support to all key stakeholders (customer, operator, operations) and managing the train’s technical changes and the maintenance specifications.
Principle Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
•Manage unit failures.
•Manage and improve performance of the operations.
•Ensure all maintenance activities are managed ‘right first time’
•Monitor, manage and improve the technical performance of the designated systems.
•Monitor and manage all technical documentation when changes occur.
•Provide technical support both externally (customer, stakeholder etc) and internally (project team, operations etc)
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications.
•Understanding of Railway group standards, ROGS and other Railway specific Engineering standards.
•Reliability management tools e.g. FRACAS
•Bombardier change management and product safety procedures
•Proven project management skills
•Minimum HNC/ONC or equivalent with experience
•Engineering and depot experience.
