Buyer required to work on a permanent basis with OEM based in South Staffordshire a leading supplier of rail vehicle systems to UK and overseas markets. You will need to be able to drive robust partnerships with an existing supply chain as well as identify and develop new suppliers. You will have first hand experience of purchasing within the engineering sector, be familiar with modern manufacturing methodologies, Six Sigma and similar Lean manufacturing techniques and practices, implicitly understand 'Quality' principles within manufacturing and be able to interpret engineering drawings and other technical documentation.

Ideally you will have had experience of such a role within the rail vehicle industry sector but applications will be considered from others such as Automotive or Aerospace.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential. Excellent salary between £25-30000 dependant upon experience, pension and other benefits.
