Associate or Director (QS)/ Infrastructure, Transport
Immediate opening with a major player in building and infrastructure cost and project management consultancy.
The main function of the role is to help build a leading consultant position for the company with Transport for London, under the new Commercial Services Framework through:
Supporting Director, Transport by actively contributing to the achievement of sector business plan and the growth and development of the Transport sector, realising ambition to become a national transport consultancy business
The delivery of individual targets contributing to the success of the sector and business line
Owning, leading and managing key account/s activity
Growing orders annually at accelerated rate
Seeking out and pursuing new work opportunities
Ensuring quality and consistency of service delivery
Accountables:
Develops key client relationship by discovering client needs and becoming trusted advisor
Provides tendering, procurement, cost and contractual advice and liaises closely with
clients to ensure their requirements and expectations are being met
Undertakes billable hours on cost and commercial management commissions
Co-ordinates and approves before issue all cost estimates, cost plans, tender
recommendations and reports, valuations and final accounts
Ensures that all financial reports are compiled accurately to report the current and
forecast final account position and ensure completed timely
Checks contract documentation before issue for execution by the parties and ensure
validly executed and that all guarantees, performance bonds, employer/sub-contractor agreements are provided and are validly executed
Leads and grows key client account/s including client account planning and pipeline
management
Grows orders annually at accelerated rate
Seeks out new opportunities – new markets, services and cross-business lines services
Leads bid-proposal preparation and negotiation
Oversees and ensures smooth day to day operations for key client account/s

Detailed knowledge of the NEC and other forms of contract

Detailed knowledge of tendering and procurement and strategic advice
Understanding of risk management techniques
10 year’s experience in field of discipline
Demonstratrable ability of developing work with a key regional or national client valued at £500k net revenue
Demonstrable previous experience managing teams
Relevant accreditation MRICS or CIOB
The suitable person for this position will be inspirational and has the drive to achieve. There may be pressure to meet deadlines in an environment laced with a wide variety of problems and unexpected interruptions. Communication and people skills are important aspects of the job.

Salary £60,000
Car Allowance £5,500 or £6,000 depending on grade
