A leading Engineering consultancy based in Winchester, who also have a global presence are currently looking to expand by looking for a group Engineer/ Project Manager on a permanent basis.

Our client is looking for an experienced Group Engineer/ Project manager to lead on the delivery of engineering projects within major local authority professional service contracts in the South of England. With the role involving heading up a team of engineers, graduate and technicians to develop solutions from concept to implementation across a wide range of a small, medium and large highway projects. As the Project manager you will have responsibility for engaging with clients in both the delivery of projects and development of future work as well as providing mentoring and personal development of team members.

As the group Engineer/ Project Manager you will be ensuring work produced is technically accurate and delivered in accordance with appropriate standards as well as overseeing completion of designs and production of and review design documentation including sketches, drawings, calculations, reports and specifications. You will act as a technical lead or technical reviewer on projects whilst demonstrating analytical skills to derive potential solutions to engineering problems, Leading technical delivery of civil engineering projects/Civil engineering input into multi-disciplinary projects.

This could be an excellent opportunity for a Principal or Senior Highway Design Engineer looking to progress their career as into Project Manager within Engineering consultancy. Alternatively, this would suit an already acting project leader or Associate looking to join a leading Engineering consultancy. As mentioned above this role is based in Winchester and could also suite candidates within the surrounding areas such as Owslebury, Eastleigh, Littleton and Chilworth

Job Requirements

- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer
- Good written and Verbal communication skills
- Experienced in DMRB
- Demonstratable experience in project management
- Demonstrable experience/proven analytical skills
- Technical highway design background
