A highly established Main/Principal Contractor, who work Civil Engineering across various industries including Construction, Sports, Leisure and Rail, are looking for a HSEQ Advisor to join their team in South West London on a permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for an established H&S professional to work on an exciting civil engineering project. My client can provide development and give the successful candidate the opportunity to work on major civil engineering project s in infrastructure.

As a HSEQ Advisor your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
Identify the role and responsibility of this organization, in respect of the CDM Regulations, for each project and work with the Business Manager s and Site Manager s to satisfy requirements.
Implement policies and procedures within business units to help reduce risk and support a positive HSE&Q culture
Proactively drive and promote the Behavioral Strategy across the business
Support HSE&Q line management in the implementation of all HSE&Q Procedures
Actively support business units under your remit as an advisor in regular HSE&Q Management Reviews, to assess and improve performance.
Provide advice and guidance for the completion of pre-qualification and tender documentation.
Assist site managers with the construction Health, Safety and Environmental Plans prior to a project commencing.
Carry out a formal health, safety and sustainability review on all sites, on a monthly basis as a minimum
Where working practices pose a significant risk to health, safety or the environment; ensure that: the unsafe operation is stopped; inform site and business unit management immediately; provide appropriate support, advice and assistance in identifying and implementing the necessary remedial actions.
Assist project teams in the review of high-risk contractors method statements, provide any assistance required in assessing other method statements, and monitor the implementation of the same on site.
Assisting business units in the performance management of subcontractors.

The successful candidate will have a NEBOSH General certificate and experience working on major construction projects. Any chartered status would be beneficial.
