You will be required to carry out the required maintenance work, both planned and corrective, on a permanent night shift basis.

You will be required to:

• Maintain the Rolling Stock, in accordance with specified procedures. This will including: exam work and shunting and may require manual work and working on powered up trains
• Carry out train preparation work, involving the use of on board computerised equipment
• Undertake train diagnostic work using laptop computers
• Undertake other duties as specified by the Production Manger
• Attend regular team briefings and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to work
• Continually improve processes and procedures
• Coach and develop other Train Maintainers when require
• Report accidents/ incidents through the correct channels
• Develop yourself through reading reports/manuals and fully participate in training programs

Qualifications

Key skills and requirements for the role include:

• Key skills and requirements for the role include:-
• Have completed a recognised Apprenticeship or have obtained a equivalent qualifications (BTEC, C&G etc) in MECH or ELECT
• Experience of electronics, pneumatics and mechanics
• Experience working within a Rolling Stock Maintenance environment preferable
• History of work in a process/production environment preferable
• Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems preferable
• Flexible and Adaptable
• Conscientious
• Team Player
• Commercially minded and Customer focussed.
• Decisive
