We have an exciting overseas opportunity to work on the High-Speed rail link in India, specifically the Mumbai to Ahmedabad corridor. This would be based directly in India and would be initially a 6-month contract with a view to extension thereafter, which is a great opportunity for candidates looking to gain/or build their international experience.  The candidates can come from any discipline, but there is a empathises on a vast/in-depth experience dealing with contracts within rail and the job role is as follow:


Job Description for Contract Expert

- Delineation of the scopes of works for Nominated Subcontractors based on discussions with the Consultant`s Technical Package Groups.

- Based on the delineation of the abovementioned scopes of works for Nominated Subcontractors, the preparation of the bidding documents for Nominated Subcontractors, taking into consideration the bidding documents for the main works packages, as well as the development of the commercial terms for the agreements to be signed by the Nominated Subcontractors.   

- Review, checking and revision of bidding documents for Nominated Subcontractors as required based on inputs from the various Technical Package Groups.

- Co-ordination between the various departments in order to properly prepare bidding documents for Nominated Subcontractors. 

- Drafting of relevant responses to address questions from the Nominated Subcontractor.

- Support to negotiations for the Indian counterpart agency (NHSRCL)


Job Requirements

- The Candidate should have a bachelor`s degree in Appropriate Engineering Field

- He should have good contractual experience including contractual terms for Sub-Contractors

- He should have 20 years (preferably) experience in the Industry including reasonable experience in Rail Industry
