Amazing opportunity for a Associate Directorship within the rail and infrastructure sector of a well reputed consultancy. This company has nearly 200 years experience in the construction and property industry and punch well above their weight in terms of their client list and project portfolio.

They are fiercely quality driven and as such employ only market leaders from the cost and project management sectors. They demand a high level of performance and commitment and also boast an exceptionally low staff turnover and some real internal success stories, of people who have progressed from junior level through the ranks to board Director.
Due to recently winning a number of successful tenders in the infrastructure and rail sectors they have identified a need for a heavy weight rail/transportation professional to join at the top end of their rapidly expanding infrastructure division.

Role

To assist and contribute to the profitability of the infrastructure division through business development and successful execution of work. The candidate will support and lead the profit centre in making proposals and winning work as well as developing his/her own network of clients and contacts in the transport sector and in particular rail/metro.

A capacity to work to tight timescales and under pressure is essential as well as a willingness to travel in the UK and overseas.

Must be qualified to degree level and/or professionally as a member of a recognised institution such as RICS, ICE, IMechE, etc.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the Strategic Management of the profit centre through implementation of:

- Business strategies
- Business plan
- Effective Resource allocation
- Technical and Financial control of Projects
- Effective debt collection and invoicing
- Marketing Plan
- Business Development actions
- Directors Management

Skills

- Excellent people management
- Good network of contacts in the Transport sector in the UK
- Ability to identify opportunities, create compelling proposals and generate repeat business through client care
- Qualified and experienced in two or more of the following:

* Commercial Management
* QS
* Project Management
* Claims Management and dispute resolution
* Cost Management and Estimating
* Contract Administration
* PFI/PPP

This is an excellent position to head up and take forward a strong rail division and will ideally suit Directors within the top 10 consultancies who are treading water and are keen to step up to the next level and advance their careers.
