We are looking for an excellent SHEQ Manager to provide my clients' company with effective SHEQ management and to be responsible for all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality across design, procurement and construction phases of projects being undertaken.

You will be able to develop, manage, ensure compliance with and maintain Integrated Management System covering OHSAS 18001, ISO14001 and ISO9001 of the company for its operations in the office and at my clients' construction sites. They will also ensure that company complies with current health, safety and environmental legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment engineering and construction sites across the country and you will also support their ISO's and quality systems management.

Qualifications:

   » Professional Health & Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or Degree
   » Chartered Membership (or working towards) of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health
   » Must have at least 3 years’ experience of SHEQ management in construction industry related to Electric distribution and transmission business

Essential that you:

   » Have experience with National Grid
   » Can assist in retaining all current quality accreditations (OHSAS 18001, ISO14001 and ISO9001) and work towards the attainment of new quality accreditations.
   » Can confidently conduct regular, scheduled internal audit and inspections (office and site-based) to ensure compliance with established government legislation, industry golden rules and company’s ISO standards with a view of continuous improvement in quality and safety.
   » Can advise line management and assist with the implementation of new or existing SHEQ related legislation, rules and company standards to include fire prevention, health and safety awareness training, a site inspection of company and contractors site operations.

Skills and Experience:

   » You will have a fundamental understanding of Quality from ISO perspective.
   » You will have an ability to contribute to the wider company’s management team and to have to make business decisions which in times could be unpopular.
   » You will have experience in running live projects.
