We are looking for Quantity Surveyor based in Cambridge also willing to travel to within the London and South East Region, My client which has a varied portfolio of clients and projects, both locally and nationally, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality cost management services.

Some of the projects you will be working on are high profile ranging in value from £5-100m+ capital value - this is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, motivated and driven individual with strong quantity surveying experience to join a world-leading player in its field. The office’s current client base covers a variety of different sectors including education, commercial, retail, residential, infrastructure, and corporate real estate.

You will:

• Be Chartered (can be APM) or, alternatively Non-Chartered Quantity Surveyor with more than 3 years + experience post degree.
• Valid driver’s licence

It is Essential you:

• Have Client facing experience
• Have a specific experience and a primary focus in the preparation of feasibility studies, detailed cost planning (i.e. RIBA   Stages 2/3 estimating) and preparation of bills of quantities and familiar with RIBA Plan of Work.
• Have an appreciation of general market conditions and detailed costs/rates
• Have the ability to work to tight deadlines in a flexible and collaborative manner
• Have a knowledge and experience of using measurement software, e.g. CostX, CATO.

• Have experience in managing traditional and design & build projects (pre and post contract experience)
• Are a competent user of Excel based systems
• Are familiar with multiple procurement routes
• Have experience single and two-stage procurement experience
• Have the ability to manage design consultants
• Have commercial gravitas

It would be desirable if You have any of the following in addition to the above:

• Residential sector experience

• Knowledge and experience of BIM level 5
• Commercial sector experience
• Education sector experience
