One of the world s leading engineering organisations seeks to employ a Systems Engineering professional with experience and a passion for advanced train control systems (such as ETCS, CBTC  etc) in the role of Systems Engineer Digital Railway. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects incorporating future train control technologies in the UK and international market. This leading brand is looking for Systems Engineers who are eager to unleash their creative side and provide their client with outside of the box innovative solutions. To be considered for the position of Systems Engineer Digital Railway candidates must have experience two or more of the following technologies:

   » European Train Control System (ETCS)
   » Communication Based Train Control (CBTC)
   » Traffic Management
   » Automatic Train Control
   » Connected Driver Advisory System.
   » Command Control Systems / Control Centres

You will deliver innovative technical work to a plan, achieving time, quality and cost as part of our multi-discipline teams or on behalf of our clients in project teams. In this role you may be able to lead and mentor more junior members of staff to enable the team to achieve its objectives. You will be given the opportunity to take on and lead a broad range of systems engineering activities and be able to plan work packages using project management methods. You will have a solid knowledge of the systems engineering V lifecycle and how to apply it to a railway project.

To be considered for the this role candidates will ideally be Chartered and degree qualified. You will have experience in two or more of the above mentioned technologies accompanied with a good rail domain knowledge. You will also have solid knowledge of the systems engineering V lifecycle with good skills with DOORS, MS Excel, Visio and Word.
