A fantastic opportunity has arisen within one of the leading providers of rail infrastructure services, for a Plant Manager to ensure high reliability and availability of Plant.
The business provides total solutions in all aspects of railway infrastructure, from high speed rail systems to light and urban rail-presenting a diverse and challenging opportunity to the successful applicant.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for assessing the ongoing plant requirements for the projects business, in addition to ascertaining the most cost effective method of procurement for plant and operational personnel.
The Plant Manager will also be responsible for plant availability and any necessary outsourcing.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the Plant is in good working order and maintain all records required for audit and safety requirements.
The Plant Manager will liaise with plant suppliers in the case of hired in equipment when required, for reasons of malfunction or instances where faulty plant could cause contractual overruns.
In order to apply for the role of Plant Manager you will be qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
Will have a good working knowledge of the rail infrastructure industry and hands on experience in track plant.
Will hold a PTS and/or COSS certificate. Ideally you will have experience of working with Plant and machinery used for Plain Line Track Renewals.
