Department & how it relates to the role:
Using your expertise in project planning you will work closely with Programme and Project Managers to develop a project work breakdown structure and project plan so projects can be monitored efficiently and professionally.
The National Signalling and Level Crossing Programme Team is part of the Asset Management - Signalling, Power & Communication organisation. It undertakes national level crossing renewals and other HQ signalling initiatives.
As an experienced Project Planner you will be responsible for monitoring programmes and regular updates for a large portfolio of complex work projects. You will have a detailed knowledge of Primavera P3e and an understanding of the wider Project Management Framework.
A strong knowledge of earned value management and milestone and KPI reporting will also help you to keep control of the variety of projects, ensuring that they are delivered to the high standard expected.
It’s not necessary for you to have rail industry experience. In fact, what will set you apart is your motivation and natural flair for dealing with people at all levels.
Do you have….?
· Extensive experience in working with P3e?
· Experience in management, planning or delivery of major construction and engineering projects?
· A working knowledge of investment programme and project controls processes and systems?
· Able to manage data in a proficient and competent manner?
Motivated and confident?
Able to communicate with people at all levels?
Enthusiastic with excellent attention to detail?
Ambitious to progress within the organisation?
