The Channel Tunnel Rail Link is the UK’s first high speed railway running from St Pancras to the Channel Tunnel. Designed for trains to operate at up to 300 km/h it presently carries both international Eurostar trains between London and Paris / Brussels and High Speed domestic services to East Kent.
It is expected that freight trains and other high speed services will also start to use the route in the near future.
