*Support the Operations Director in coordinating and managing station operations to meet the required service performance targets under all situations such as normal, degraded and emergency identify training needs in line with the competency management system. Review, develop and update the relevant work procedures and instruction as required 
*Carry out periodic health, safety, quality, environment and operational briefing to the station operations staff .Be the Incident Officer for serious accidents and incidents in stations, when necessary, and undertake investigations 
*Plan, manage and lead allocated station crew resources to deliver a safe, reliable and customer focused station environment 
*Handle disciplinary, grievances and conduct performance appraisals to ensure that the Station Masters and Station Agents are adequately trained in their particular function and provide additional training and support when necessary 
*Monitor service delivery and manage the Station Masters and Station Agents to satisfy the committed performance targets 
*Advise the Operations Director of problems relating to the station service delivery in a proactive and timely manner .Perform regular safety reviews, audits and inspections on station operations 
*Approve, implement and action improvement measures resulting from investigations and / or operational experience .Act as the OCC main coordinator to enhance the coordination between station and OCC and report details of incidents to senior management and public relations staff 
*Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, rules and work instructions with the broader management team and the Operations Director .Perform shift and emergency duties when required 
*Manage the station staff to ensure outputs delivered are to an appropriate standard on time and within the allocated budget 

Qualifications and Experience 

Essential 
*Higher diploma of post secondary education in a related discipline 
*Minimum of 3 years of management experience supervising a team of front line staff delivering customer services in a metro station or equivalent 
*Experience and good working comprehension of competency management processes and performance and appraisal management 
*Professionally qualified with membership of a recognised transport institution 
*Thorough understanding of station operations and associated activities 
*Ability to manage teams of operations staff with an aim to meet performance targets in a cost effective and efficient manner 
*A mature, proactive and responsible approach to work with initiative and problem solving capability 
*Ability to liaise in a professional and persuasive manner with staff at all levels in the organization 
*Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 
*Good literacy and numeracy skills required for the role 
Ability to understand complex systems and possess good IT skills 
Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities 

Preferable 
*Degree Holder in related discipline 5 years or more of management experience supervising a team of front line staff delivering customer services in a metro station or equivalent.
Safety Responsibilities 
*Consider and evaluate safety issues in relation to all station operations and related activities. 
*Develop, implement and enforce safe methods of work for station operations and related activities 
*Comply with safe working arrangements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and look out for the safety of others.
