Our client employs a mixed fleet of vehicles and grounds maintenance equipment, ranging from small vans to specialist municipal vehicles, supplied through an external lease hire and maintenance contract. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
•The provision of an efficient and effective fleet management service, within budget, performance standards and compliant with appropriate legislation, policies and contract conditions. 
•Monitoring the fleet procurement and maintenance contractor’s performance and associated functions within the scope of the contract terms, authorising works as appropriate.
•Liaising with the contractor, fleet users management, drivers and other relevant parties as required.
•Support the Fleet Management Co-ordinator in the provision of a customer focused Fleet Management Service facility including the maintenance of statutory obligations, preparation of management accounts and monitor commitment accounts, reporting budget variances as necessary.
•Assist in the negotiation of contracts, agreements and partnership arrangements with partners within both the public and private sectors to deliver service and corporate objectives. 

There are several requirements that potential candidates must meet:
•Demonstrable contract management experience within a transport maintenance environment or equivalent profession.
•The ability to estimate vehicle maintenance repairs with a demonstrable understanding of job authorisation procedures.
•Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with an ability to review financial data using a recognised standard of financial literacy (e.g. BTEC or work experience competency on budgets)
•An understanding of vehicle technical data and ICME time allowance manuals (or equivalent) and be willing to undertake training where required.

The projects are all M&amp;amp;E related looking after security upgrades over a number of sites so you will need experience of related projects. A good background could include:- &lt;br /&gt;" Intruder Alarms &lt;br /&gt;" Fire Alarms &lt;br /&gt;" Sprinkler Systems &lt;br /&gt;" CCTV &lt;br /&gt;" Door code installation &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Required Experience &lt;br /&gt;You must hold previous Health and safety experience with in a NEBOSH qualification.
