A fantastic opportunity has arisen within one of the leading providers of rail infrastructure services, for a Plant Operations Manager to lead and direct the planning, operation and maintenance of a system of specialist rail plant.  The Plant Operations Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the management and development of all personnel within the system.
The role of Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the systems plant and depot and developing the track renewals systems fleet.  The Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring plant competence standards are met, with decision making relevant to plant operations, development, plant hire and purchase.  
In order to apply for the role of Plant Operations Manager you will have experience of working in the railway environment, with a knowledge of large plant and track renewals.  The successful Plant Operations Manager will have good commercial awareness, the ability to lead and motivate people, and ideally will have previous project management or engineering management experience.

You will also be required to operate and clean plant machinery and handle inbound rail and road deliveries. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A valid PTS (Personal Track Safety card) would be a huge advantage to your application but you must have some background in operating lage plant within a depot or logistics yard enviroment to be considered. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The assessment process for this position also involves a psychometric test which includes mathematical, technical comprehension and mechanical comprehension.
