Serco Group plc is responsible for operating and maintaining London’s Docklands Light Railway. As an Operations Planning Analyst, you will strategically produce train service plans and schedules which are appropriate to meet demand. As required, you will also devise and implement special train schedules and replacement bus services for maintenance closures and special events. Other responsibilities will include creating duty schedules and rosters for train staff as well as leading and developing operational plans across the company for service changes and special events. To succeed, you will need a good understanding of train planning, train service scheduling and staff rostering and of the PSA working parameters. Knowledge of the performance regime, including the method of interpreting performance statistics from Alcatel’s SMC and other subsystems is ideal as is knowledge of Alcatel’s Seltrac moving block signalling hardware and software, track and trackside infrastructure. A main contractor is looking to recruit a Senior Planner to work on a variety of Civil Engineering projects to be based from their West London office. As Senior Planner you will be responsible for tender programming, providing support to technical submissions and live project programme monitoring and updating. The focus is to improve the overall business performance through the production of accurate tender resource programming as a direct support to the tender submission process. Required experience
Candidates must have a university degree or equivalent through relevant experience, complemented by a demonstrated track record of success in a engineering material planning role.
You will have experience planning within a procurement and / or Project Management environment. You will have up to date experience of IT tools such as Excel, Word & Lotus-Notes.

Our client has a unique opportunity for the right individual to join them on a freelance basis for 3 to 6 months at their site in London.

Joining their established team the project involves the installation of signal gantries along a stretch of track.

In this role you will be expected to multi task as you will be providing support to the Project Manager. Drawing upon your rail expertise you will be responsible for:-

" Assisting with P3 Planning
" Assisting with Work Package Plans
" Assisting with Task Briefings
" Assisting with Project Cost Reporting/Forecasting
" Inputting of Technical Data, i.e. Timesheets
" General management of site paperwork
" Attending client meetings

To be suitable for this role you will have a proven background of working on rail projects, knowledge of rail site paperwork, computer literate, excellent communication skills and P3 Planning experience.

My client is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner to work on Rail Infrastructure projects in London. Reporting to the Resource Manager, and Project Manager for deliverables, the successful Planner will provide planning support to the Project Manager and deliver projects to an agreed scope, budget, timescale and quality.

Responsibilities will include:
" Adjusting plans for contract variations and align with the client and subcontractor expectations
" Identify risks and issues related to the project plan, including commercial risks, and highlight areas of concern to the Project Manager
" Regularly monitor and capture progress against specific project tasks
" Assist the project manager(s) in building project plans and programmes of work to agreed standards.

Experience
At least 3 years recent experience of Primavera project planning software is ESSENTIAL within a Rail environment.
Rail Infrastructure experience is desirable but not essential.
