As an Operations Planning Analyst, you will strategically produce train service plans and schedules which are appropriate to meet demand. As required, you will also devise and implement special train schedules and replacement bus services for maintenance closures and special events. Other responsibilities will include creating duty schedules and rosters for train staff as well as leading and developing operational plans across the company for service changes and special events.

To succeed, you will need a good understanding of train planning, train service scheduling and staff rostering and of the PSA working parameters. Knowledge of the performance regime, including the method of interpreting performance statistics from Alcatel’s SMC and other subsystems is ideal as is knowledge of Alcatel’s Seltrac moving block signalling hardware and software, track and trackside infrastructure.
