Job Description: A Senior Permanent Way Engineer is required to join the Manchester office on a permanent basis. The position is a Team Leader / Supervisory role so will involve management of a small team, as well as client liaison, project management and design work.

Person Specification: To apply for the position of Senior Permanent Way Engineer you should be degree qualified in Civil Engineering. You will be Chartered / working towards Chartership in the next 12 months with either the ICE or the PWI.

You must have substantial hands-on production, supervision and checking of scheme and detailed design of rail switches and crossings (S&amp;C). You must also have experience of leading, mentoring and providing technical guidance to less experienced members of the team.

Experience of managing and developing client relationships, attending meetings and communication to establish their needs would be beneficial. In terms of project size it would be anticipated that the candidate has a range of experience on projects ranging in size between £10k in relation to feasibility work and up to £200k on complex schemes and projects.

You should be familiar with Bentley MicroStation XM, InRail / RailTrack and Clear Route and should have PTS.
